The Outlets

Boston based Punk outfit The Outlets made their mark on the East Coast Punk scene from 1980 – 1988. Well known for their raucous live shows, the band were regulars at well known venues including Boston‘s The Paradise, New York’s CBGB’s, and The Whiskey in Los Angeles. The boys routinely shared the stage with the likes of The Replacements, The Buzzcocks, and REM to name a few. Boston FM powerhouse WCBN added the band’s single “Bright Lights” into heavy rotation and named it part of their weekly Top 10 List. The Outlets legacy continued when fellow Boston Punk Rocker’s Dropkick Murphys covered their song “Knock Me Down” on their 2000 release “Mob Mentality.” The Outlets reunited in 2015 for a show with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones at the Boston House of Blues.
