Sanci Bell

Sanci Bell honed her craft busking on the streets of Paris in the mid-1970s after growing up on both the east and west coasts of the United States. Bell found she could make up to $100 per hour as Parisians and tourists placed Francs into her empty guitar case. Possessing a soulful vocal style that rivaled her more well known contemporaries, such as Jennifer Warnes and Irene Cara, Sanci’s hard work didn’t go unnoticed. Her voice and songwriting chops caught the attention of French label Ibach Records who released the single “Words Of Love” in 1983. In 1986 Bell returned to the United States and moved to Marin County. Over 35 years later Fervor Records is now the proud home to some of Sanci’s outstanding recordings from the early 1980s.
