New York Electric Piano
New York Electric Piano is the brainchild of esteemed NYC keyboardist and composer Pat Daugherty, who The New York Times has called “an imposing presence.” The band has received extended radio airplay, topped CMJ’s Jazz Charts, and garnered accolades from All About Jazz, Drumhead, Sea of Tranquility, JazzTimes, and Pop Matters. The band also features Spin Doctors founder, and current drummer, Aaron Comess, and bassist Richard Hammond. Band member credits include Levon Helm, Gil Scott-Heron, Patti Austin, Snoop Dogg, Joan Osbourne, Bono and The Edge, Ornette Coleman, The Blue Man Group, and Martha Graham Dance Company to name just a few. The acclaimed Jazz outfit has headlined NYC venues including the Cutting Room, Rookwood Music Hall, the Zinc Bar, Pianos, Crash Mansion, Sullivan Hall, the Gershwin Hotel, and The Fez. New York Electric Piano releases their 8th studio album, and Fervor Records debut “State Of The Art” January 12th, 2018.
