Drummer and vocalist Kurt Barkdull founded Falcon Eddy after his Cosmic Rock band, Sunfield, called it quits. Barkdull was joined by Dahcotah alum Gale Maag on guitars and vocals, John Thomson on keyboards, guitars and vocals, and Niles Naakteboren on bass and vocals. The quartet was a touring juggernaut sharing the stage with groups like The Romantics, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Del Fuegos and Iron Butterfly. In 1985 the band teamed with well respected producer/engineer Tom Tatman at his Catamount Studios in Cedar Falls, Iowa. With Tatman behind the board and co-producing with the band, Falcon Eddy churned out their eleven song self-titled LP. Released on Staff Records the band did what they did best, hit the road to support the record. Fervor Records is now proud to perpetuate the legacy of Falcon Eddy!
